N133 Plant Marshal
Through a mix of practical and theory-based exercises and tutorials, delegates will cover manufacturer and general knowledge and responsibilities of plant machinery marshalling while participating in practical plant operating activities, safety procedures, and best practices.

This Plant Machinery Marshall N133 NPORS certification is for anyone requiring training and assessment to guide and direct vehicles and machinery on-site.
Course Content:
This training is essential for workers to work as plant machinery marshals safely. Delegates will review legal requirements, ensure safety compliance, and understand procedures, appropriate documentation and classifications.
The course content includes:
A basic understanding of the industry and the relevant legislation
The dangers of working in the industry and responsibilities of a plat machinery marshal
Knowledge of the manufacturer’s handbook for the particular plant they are guiding
Signs and signals, approved hand signals and different forms of communication
Identifying and maintaining PPE appropriate for plant machinery marshal duties
Conducting all necessary safety checks at the work area, including stop blocks and tipping areas
Setting up exclusion zones for unloading
Guiding vehicles in a forward and reverse direction, including confined spaces and "blind areas", safely and efficiently
Environmental considerations and impact
All end-of-shift, shut down and parking procedures

NPORS Experienced Worker Tests (EWTs) are accelerated 1-day assessments for operators with over 18 months of practical, verifiable experience or 6 months of consistent daily us. Unlike novice training, EWTs are designed to test existing competence rather than teach from scratch.

What We Offer

NPORS (National Plant Operators Registration Scheme) novice courses are designed for beginners with no prior experience operating plant machinery, providing comprehensive training from basic safety to practical operation over 2–10 days. Courses are available for machinery like excavators, dumpers, telehandlers, and rollers, resulting in an NPORS operator card upon success.

NPORS Experienced Worker Tests (EWTs) are accelerated 1-day assessments for operators with over 18 months of practical, verifiable experience or 6 months of consistent daily us. Unlike novice training, EWTs are designed to test existing competence rather than teach from scratch.

NPORS refresher courses (typically 1 day) allow experienced plant operators to renew their competency cards, usually valid for 5 years. Courses cover updated safety regulations, manufacturer requirements, and practical testing for machinery like , excavators, and dumpers. Refresher training ensures, or tests, that operators maintain high standards and safe operating practices.
