Abrasive Wheels (1/2 Day Course)
Abrasive Wheel training course provides learners with the knowledge and basic skills to safely use abrasive wheels. The accreditation also enables learners to gain knowledge of compliance with health and safety legislation and introduces them to the hazards and risks involved with abrasive wheels operation.
In relation to abrasive wheels, PUWER 98 (The Provision and Use of Work Equipment Regulations 1998) requires, among other things, that all machinery is suitable for its intended use and is properly maintained, and that employees, including those using, mounting and managing the operation of abrasive wheels, are fully informed and properly trained in their safe use.

What is CMPE (Contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers)
CMPE Contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers is an association of individuals who are concerned with all aspects of plant and machinery used within the construction industries.
The objectives of CMPE Contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers is to broaden the scope of knowledge of any such plant, machinery and its application, and by placing the corporate knowledge of its members at the disposal to any section of the plant and machine industry and it aims to make a worthwhile contribution and understanding and more effective employment of mechanical plant wherever it is being used.
To promote the safer use of plant machinery the CMPE Contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers introduced and operates the Plant Operators Certificate of Competence.
C.M.P.E Contractors Mechanical Plant Engineers was founded in 1957, it was the first recognised plant operators scheme and is still highly recognised today.

A Health & Safety Qualification is required, CSCS or equivalent, such as Video Tile before any CMPE card can be issued.
An Instructor/Assessor will attend your site and observe and test the delegates on the categories of the plant required for new cards.
Training categories can be tailor-made to your machinery type being used. This way you get the very best bespoke training for your workforce.
CMPE can also restrict the qualification to a specific meterage or tonnage.
